 Broadband Systems

ViaSat is becoming the supplier of choice for the new generation of broadband satellite services. We’re developing subscriber terminals and ground infrastructure for five premier broadband service providers:

  • Connexion by Boeing for in-flight broadband to commercial airline and military aircraft
  • ARINC’s SKYLink in-flight broadband for business jets
  • Intelsat, using our SurfBeam DOCSIS-for-satellite system for consumer services with Orbit Communications
  • Eutelsat consumer broadband service trials, also using our DOCSIS-based SurfBeam
  • WildBlue Communications for consumers and small office/home office
  • Telesat using SurfBeam for consumer services in Canada on new Anik F2 Ka-band, spot beam satellite

We have a variety of technologies that we can apply to make your network more efficient and economically rewarding for you, including both user terminals and system gateways. Our focus is on finding new ways to increase your system capacity so airtime costs are less, helping you set service fees that maximize subscriber uptake.

Please contact Bob Wilson by email or at 760-476-2200 to find out more about our large-scale Ka-band broadband systems.
